Dear____________:
As a fellow executive committed to public-private partnerships, I am asking you to take a few minutes of your valuable time a assist me in completing the research required for a Ph.D. in Management. Basically, my project compares underlying concepts applied to decision-making between public and private sector managers. It has been said that PH.D's are folks who know a whole lot about very little, and that is certainly true when it comes to the basic research required for the degree. You will see that the questions asked are quite simple, and there are no rights or wrong answers - just your opinion.
Please take a few minutes to complete the enclosed survey and return it in the pre-stamped envelope provided. If you can make yourself available for a follow-up interview, or if you would like an executive summary of the project upon completion, just complete the enclosed postcard and drop it in the mail. To assure confidentiality, do not include the postcard in the survey envelope.
Thank you for your assistance.
