Up until July 2010, indexation was applied to project budgets on a periodic basis. The cumulative impact of this approach was $145m. In addition to this amount, the impact on the project budget as a result of out-turning was a further $13.8m having been applied to the remaining life of the project.

Other expenditure comprises: expenditure for the initial 4 centre barrels through the FMS system ($3.6m), expenditure for the procurement of aircraft modification via other minor contracts ($17.1m); the procurement of aircraft Fuel Cells and Longerons to support the Project ($7.8m); and the movement of Aircraft between Williamtown and Mirabel Canada to undergo the Centre Barrel Replacement Program ($6.5m). Remaining expenditure is attributable to contractor and legal costs and general operating expenditure.

Other expenditure comprises the procurement of Contractor support ($1.2m) Freight ($0.2m) and the remaining expenditure is attributable to general operating expenditure ($0.1m).

HSACP funding was provided by Air Force in April 2011. The remaining budget will be returned to the Defence Capability Plan, there will be a small element that will be provided to DCIP to accommodate FMS case closure costs.
