These aspects of the project were effectively managed and implemented. As increased community awareness is critical to separate waste at source, this aspect of the project was also important. A number of innovative approaches to awareness-raising and community involvement were also followed, including using videos, community theatre and other approaches.
Probably capacity building of the practitioners involved in the project could have been stronger during the initial phase of the project, which may have resulted in more practical PPP arrangements being formulated at an earlier stage. This would have allowed the subsequent awareness raising to feed more directly into establishing workable PPP arrangements.
