The overall aim of the PPPUE programme, by introducing PPP's in Nepal, is to enhance living conditions of urban areas by alleviating poverty and environmental impacts such as creating jobs for the poor in environmental service provision. The project's immediate goals are to create the necessary enabling environment (incl. policy & legal framework) for the introduction of PPP's and to build positive perceptions about PPP's, which emphasizes the mutual benefits for all partners.
