Stage 6: Options Assessment
Infrastructure Australia is not mandating a particular process for moving from a long list of potential options to a short list of lead candidates. The following three-step process is an indicative guide.
Explain how an original full list ('long list') of options was initially narrowed down to an interim list. Summarise the results of this process, for instance the scores from a high level Multi Criteria Analysis process. Where possible, explain how this process incorporated different scenarios.
Interim list | Explain how the interim list of options was then narrowed down to a short list. Summarise the results of this process, for instance the scores from a detailed Multi Criteria Analysis process and the headline results of Rapid Economic Appraisals. Where possible, explain how this process incorporated different scenarios. |
Short list | Explain how the interim list of options was finally narrowed down to a lead option. Summarise the results of this process, for instance the scores from a detailed Multi Criteria Analysis process and the main results from a detailed economic appraisal of two or three lead contenders (presenting, for instance, the Appraisal Summary Table for each lead option). Where possible, explain how this process incorporated different scenarios. |
