• Investments are being planned over a five-year cycle, and co-ordinated across government ministries and with other public and private-sector partners.
• Infrastructure investments are being matched with growth forecasts to ensure that the almost four million new people expected to settle in Ontario over the next 25 years will have places to live, work and learn, a clean environment and access to public transit and health care facilities.
• Future growth is being strategically planned for. The government's Places to Grow initiative will direct growth to areas that are best able to accommodate future needs.
• New projects are being scheduled in a way that ensures the construction industry has the capacity to build them and that projects are completed as planned.
