Network risk arises where the contracted services or method of delivery of those services are impacted by infrastructure, services or other methods of delivering the contracted services (collectively referred to as "the network").
Network risk can take various forms, but for the purposes of this supporting document, the discussion concentrates on the following two manifestations of this risk, the consequences of which are quite different:
