Government recognises the importance of the industrial relations implications of service-based public private partnership projects. Where the best value for money option for an individual project is for existing service provision to be brought into the public private partnership, government will support that option. In doing so, government is also committed to protecting the legal rights of staff affected by those changes, including an employee's right to employment without suffering a decrease in remuneration and entitlements.
