Where existing government employees will be directly affected by a public private partnership project, government will consult with affected employees and their union (or unions) in relation to:
• the consequences for employees of the proposed transaction
• the number of employees affected
• the classification of employees affected
• measures government will adopt in relation to redeployment or transfer within the public sector
• whether employees will be offered employment with the private party or its sub-contractors as part of the project and the terms and conditions upon which such employment will be offered
• the timing of the project
• if employees are offered employment with the private party or its sub-contractors, measures government will adopt to protect accrued entitlements of employees
• measures government will take to minimise the impact of the proposed changes on employees.
