Dr Geoff Cohen has been appointed recently to SMART as Professor of Infrastructure Governance. Geoff has extensive experience as a senior development and project manager across all facets of major property development in the public and private sectors. He has a cross-disciplines research focus on behavioural information processing and decision-making leading to a richer understanding of organisational structure, performance and change. Current governance research interests include:
• transparency - the availability of information for project and public reasoning;
• best practice - project value within an international context;
• enterprise learning - knowledge development and application;
• time - issues of contracting over extended time horizons; and
• connectivity - within social and economic networks.
Deliverables from Geoff's research will also promote educational and professional development of the public sector to strengthen Australia's infrastructure market.
