- More than 500 additional classrooms have been provided to public schools under the Class Size Reduction Program over the past three years to reduce class sizes in Kindergarten to Year 2.
- The New South Wales Government school system connects all schools to the Internet. Almost all public schools in the State have high speed internet access (of 2Mbps or better) through the provision of broadband services with funding of $155 million provided over the past three years.
- More than $500 million has been invested in the construction of 95 new and refurbished schools, with nine new schools successfully delivered using Public Private Partnership financing arrangements. A further 360 major school upgrades worth over $1 million each (e.g. halls, libraries, gyms, additional classrooms) have been completed.
- In some areas, school enrolments will decrease over the decade, though in others there will be strong growth. This is an asset management challenge.
