Explanation

Note 1. The RCS Project was only originally funded for 4 Submarine Acoustic Transitory Event Processing System units. The in-service support organisation took advantage of an option in the RCS Projects Acquisition contract with Sonartech to replace the ageing Submarine Acoustic Transitory Event Processing System units fitted to the existing submarine combat system.

Note 2. Includes on-going involvement in the Tactical Control Command hardware and software development process for the duration of the Memorandum of Understanding.

30 June 2009 base date dollars have not been provided for this project. As the prime systems integrator, the Commonwealth is undertaking a strategy of incremental contracting of work packages as they are defined. This results in varying base dates for work packages contracted. As a result expressing real price increases/decreases at a total prime contract level in base date dollars is not feasible.
