1.1 The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding ("the MoU") is to:
1.1.1 establish, in simple terms, the way that the partners to the MoU will work together on waste management issues to promote the effective planning and delivery of services;
1.1.2 clarify and record the responsibilities of the partners to the MoU individually and collectively, including to each other;
1.1.3 establish guidelines for taking joint working forward to the next stage of establishing a "Joint Management Board"; and
1.1.4 [plan project management and governance arrangements to deliver the Residual Waste Treatment Project.]2
1.2 The "Partners" to the MoU include: [ ]3
1.3 The Partners referred to in 1.2 above shall form the [ ]4 Joint Waste Partnership (referred to in the remainder of this document as "The Joint Waste Partnership").
