Definitions

Alternative 1:

In this agreement, unless the context otherwise requires:

[Defined word] means [definition];

[Defined word] means [definition];

and

[Defined word] means [definition].

Alternative 2:

In this agreement, capitalised terms shall be defined according to the provisions of Schedule [definitions schedule]:

The definitions need to be consistent throughout the Concession Agreement.

To avoid beginning the agreement with pages and pages of definitions, Alternative 2 can be used. The definitions schedule is usually inserted as the first or the last schedule.
