The Construction Project Team will have largely completed its work and a significant proportion of the construction supply chain will have already left the project site.
It is vital for the on-going efficient operation of the building, for the incoming Facilities Management Team to have access to the knowledge of members of the construction supply chain, who will be de-briefed in a structured manner.
A handover plan recording all relevant information will be reviewed at this stage.
The completed building will be approved by stakeholders and users and have the endorsement of the Steering Group prior to arrangements being made for the smooth handover, including any necessary briefing or training of staff.
Note: An organogram for the future facilities management of the project must be included in the handover document. |
