The functions of the Legal Adviser to the Joint Committee shall be:
3.1 To provide legal advice to the Joint Committee, to the Project Team and to the Dedicated Project Officers and to the Seconded Project Officers.
3.2 To participate as a member of the Project Team.
3.3 To undertake the functions which would be discharged by the Monitoring Officer of each of the Authorities in respect of the Joint Committee under Section 5 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (in consultation with the Monitoring Officers of the Authorities).
3.4 To take such legal action as may be necessary to give effect to the decisions of the Joint Committee.
3.5 Such other functions as may be determined by the Joint Committee.
