2.  Definitions

The Scottish Futures Trust ("SFT") Glossary (www.scottishfuturestrust.org.uk) defines Batching and Bundling as follows:

•  Batching - Grouping together of projects for procurement under a single framework agreement within one project structure but leading to individual project agreements for each; and

•  Bundling - The Grouping together of associated services/projects in order to acquire more advantageous financing as a single service/project.

The following simple diagram demonstrates the key difference between the two approaches.

For clarity it is important for the reader to recognise the key differences between these two terms throughout this document.
