6.6.3 Monitoring and Control

The (monitoring and) control phase ensures that project objectives are met by monitoring and measuring progress and taking corrective action when necessary.

"Many people believe that monitoring and project control are one and the same thing. This is not so. Monitoring is repor 0ting on what has occurred and what the situation is. Control is doing something about what the reports show!" (Anderson, et al 1998:151)
