Article 110 of the 1993 Order enables DRD for any purpose in connection with the performance of any of its functions under the 1993 Order to acquire land by agreement or compulsorily. Article 113 gives a specific power for compulsory acquisition and the procedure is set out in Schedule 7 of the 1993 Order. Schedule 7 incorporates the compulsory acquisition process set out in the Local Government (Northern Ireland) Act 1972.
