1.4 This guidance is intended to be generic in nature and to cover the general principles that should be followed by Authorities when setting up contract performance monitoring arrangements for the operational phase of a PPP/NPD contract. Standardisation of PPP Contracts (SoPC) guidance and sector specific contracts outline some of the processes involved in monitoring PPP/NPD contracts and deal with the events which may arise after contract signature through to the end of the operational period. This guidance is intended to supplement those documents and provide more detail.
