3.12 Many projects, especially accommodation, include the provision of FF&E. The agreed FF&E lists should be matched to the finalised room layouts - preferably prior to financial close. However, this is an area which will require continued monitoring and can be very time consuming. For example, obtaining user sign off to room layouts.
3.13 A clear distinction must be drawn between project and non-project equipment and FF&E to clarify which are covered by the life cycle and maintenance contract. This is also critical to ensure that all electrical equipment is annually safety tested.
3.14 Within certain sectors, such as the health, this will be particularly important given the value of the equipment and the need for it to be installed and tested prior to the facility becoming operational.
