Communication with Stakeholders

3.16  During the construction phase the communications responsibilities of the Authority and Contractor need to be clearly defined. There needs to be continued, regular communication with key stakeholders including:

•  neighbours to the facility who require to be aware of progress and any planning issues, and who will often raise specific issues which require to be addressed on an individual level. This should not cut across Contractors responsibilities for example, to leaflet neighbors or advise on piling.

•  Users - who will require to understand how decant will be managed and how this will affect them. This should involve "users" in their widest sense so for example, carers within a health environment as well as the patients and parents within a schools environment as well as the pupils and teachers.
