3.4  Reviewable Design Data

The Contractor will not have finalised its design at the time the Contract is signed, and the design development process will continue after this date in consultation with the Board. Certain aspects of the design (such as wall finishes, signage, 1:50 Room Layout drawings) are therefore "reviewable". The Contractor must not start work until these matters have been reviewed and approved (either unconditionally or with amendments) by the Board who may make objections on specified grounds. This approval does not pass the risk of design errors to the Board but allows it a "supervisory role" prior to the building work.
