Chapter 5: NHS Bodies

Being based on a previous Scottish Standard Health PPP Contract, use of the Standard Project Agreements by NHS bodies might be expected to require the least adaptation. However, because the Standard Project Agreements have been developed in anticipation of a pipeline of mostly non-acute healthcare projects, modifications have been made to bring the general approach somewhat into line with arrangements previously used for local authority accommodation (particularly schools) projects. Where the facilities deliver acute healthcare and require to operate on a 24/7 basis, it will be appropriate to revert to some of the measures in the Scottish Standard Health PPP Contract (in particular the measurement of service performance by sessions rather than days and the commissioning arrangements around handover of the new facilities).
