1.8.1 Links should be established between members of the commissioning team and the project team on progress in implementing the commissioning master plan and the work of the working groups. Regular updates on the equipping process and its costs should also be made.
1.8.2 The Commissioning Manger reports to the Project Director, who will report to the Project Owner/ investment decision maker, as appropriate, indicating:
• progress on commissioning the scheme against the project implementation plan for those areas where responsibility is allocated;
• cost reports showing any variances to the planned expenditure profile for budgets allocated to the Commissioning Manager;
• progress against the commissioning master plan; and
• Risk register reports
1.8.3 Regular reports are required to ensure that senior management are integral to the governance of the project and are aware of emerging difficulties or changes to the agreed programme of implementation.
1.8.4 Regular update meetings between the Commissioning Manager and the Project Director/Project Manager are essential to deal effectively with any
issues that may arise or decisions, which have to be made on a day-to-day basis. Establishing good relationships across the management structure for the project is essential.
