It is good practice to weight all criteria whether or not they are scored. Thus cost should be weighted relative to the criteria which are assessed through a scoring system. This will help resolve situations where the lowest cost option is not the highest scoring (see Section 9).
The recommendation that cost should be weighted should not be confused with the scoring of cost. WIDP does not recommend scoring of cost for the reasons set out in Section 6.
