2.1 There are many aspects to joint working between authorities and there can often be confusion as to the exact basis for such joint working and collaboration.
2.2 Attached as Appendix Two is a text analysis of the main options for joint working which sets out the main features and pros and cons of the different models. This section looks at the broad approaches which are generally encompassed by the term "joint working" namely:
• Informal joint working between authorities;
• Administrative/contractual joint working between authorities; and
