Part 1 Ad Hoc Waste
[Note to Bidders: This is Contract Waste which cannot be processed through the Facility but nor can it go to a normal landfill site. It is normally paid for by way of pass through or schedule of rates (the OC element of the Payment Mechanism). The definition is included in Schedule 1 (Definitions) but Bidders should bid back for dialogue a non-exhaustive list of Ad Hoc Waste commodities in order for the Authority to evaluate the extent to which the Facility and its proposed permit is flexible and accommodating.
This part of Schedule 31 may also be used to set out de minimis exceptions to the Ad Hoc Waste regime (for example, small amounts of a type of waste in a mixed load which in practice will be processed or landfilled even though in its own right it is Ad Hoc Waste).
For the avoidance of doubt, the Contractor shall accept Ad Hoc Waste even though it is subject to a different payment regime and may not count towards targets. This is to ensure the Authority does not need to put additional arrangements into place for its residual waste.]
