If the Authority is delivering waste to the Contractor during the Commissioning Period there may be an obligation to pay for this waste treatment even though, by definition, Service Commencement is not achieved until the commissioning period is over. The Contract Manager should be aware of the provisions in the Contract relating to Commissioning Payments and ensure that the systems are in place to check invoices and to raise any matters arising and/or to make the payment in accordance with the contractual provisions.
