To optimise the relationship between the Authority's Contract Management Team and the Contractor's it is important that each side understands the other's arrangements. This will help ensure that there are strong working relationships at each level in the hierarchy, clear lines of communication and a balanced relationship.
Ideally the Contractor will nominate its Contract Manager before financial close. The Authority's Contract Manager should press to be introduced to his/her counterpart as soon as possible after being appointed.
