3.6  As illustrated by Figure 10, there was no direct correlation between the time it takes to tender a deal and the capital value of a deal. The type of deal, for example whether a deal is for a school, hospital or other serviced buildings did have a significant influence on time taken to tender. Overall, however, only about a third of the variation in tendering times was explained by factors such as deal size, type of deal and the experience of procurement teams in managing PFI projects.17
