25 In May 2004, the project team resubmitted the business case to the Group Investment Board. Using the increased benefits identified in March 2004 in the business case reduced the net cost of the project from £179 million as at January 2004 (see paragraph 13) to £39 million (see Figure 7 overleaf). The Home Office considered the additional cost of £39 million to be an acceptable price to pay for the anticipated unquantified benefits of diverting ten per cent of the supported asylum seeking population to accommodation centres.
