1.5  Flexibility

Changes to working practices and operational requirements over the Contract Period will necessitate changes of use to the initial accommodation requirements. The Contractor must consider this within the design of the Works and demonstrate to the Authority how the building will be designed and constructed to be flexible in use, both within the Contract Period and - through easy, cost effective modifications - provide potential for future use during the occupancy of - and beyond that of - the Fire and Rescue Service/ Police Authority.
