1.13.3  Structure

The building frame is to be designed and constructed to carry all anticipated loads without undue deflection or any damage. If and where using a grid, the frame should be designed so as not to limit flexibility of present and potential use of space.

The design of the building's structure should be such as to provide the required floor to ceiling heights and should be flexible so a future occupier can fit out the building and/or to accommodate a change in Services.

The building frame should not be exposed in the finished buildings, and beams should not project below suspended ceiling levels or impose on window sight lines.
