1.13.10 Internal Doors

All doors should be of a high quality and provide no less than half an hour fire resistance. All doors should be designed to remove the risk of finger traps. Specialist secure doors for specialist areas described on the Zone Data Sheets.

Ironmongery to doors is to include all statutory signs for fire exits, fire points, etc.

Consideration is to be given to numbering Zones with URL codes linked directly into a Building Management System / FM database/ asset management system.

Locks throughout the building are to be master suited with sub-mastering arrangements. The Zone Data Sheets provide details of specialist arrangements for high security elements.
