1.13.12 Floor Finishes

Floors and floor finishes (including any concrete slabs exposed in the finished works) should be of good quality and give a true and even surface. All floor finishes need to be carefully considered having regard to the use of the room or zone.

Finishes should be slip resistant, durable and easily cleaned. Suitable colours and textures must be provided to assist people with special needs.

Finishes in areas where water is used (e.g. toilets, changing rooms, showers and kitchens) should be slip resistant.
