1.13.14 Fixtures, Fittings, Equipment and Furnishings

Suitable colours and textures must be provided to assist people with special needs.
The Contractor should supply, maintain and replace fittings and furnishings to a level of workmanship appropriate to ensure durability in the chosen location. Appearance is to have regard to the location of the item in question (public, office or operational area etc).
Integration of fittings, fixtures, equipment and furnishings with the building design, and with existing items that may be transferred by the Authority is essential.
The Contractor is to co-ordinate and pay for installation of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, signage, and any other item to meet fire safety requirements etc, to the full satisfaction of the Fire Officer / Authority.
The Contractor is to arrange for the installation of paper towel dispensers and / or hot air dryers, and toilet roll holders by approved suppliers and will be responsible for paying all costs arising.
