3.3.1 Caretaking, Porterage, Janitorial and Site Supervisory Services

The Contractor is to enable all operational staff and visitors to work and operate without disruption in a safe and suitable environment.

Providing on Site liaison between the Contractor and the following:

■  Security Services

■  Cleaning Services

■  Grounds Maintenance Services

■  Catering Services

■  Window Cleaning Services

■  Furniture Services

■  All other buildings and plant maintenance Contractors and associated sub-Contractors

Undertake ad-hoc tasks, which will assist the smooth day to day running of the Stations, and possibly some monitoring supervision. These may include:

■  Snow and ice clearance including any pre-treatments.

■  Removal and drying of spillage.

■  Escort duties for service Contractors/companies.

■  Minor repairs and "making safe" repairs to the fabric of the building (within their skill base).

■  Assist in minor moving of furniture and equipment, and general porterage.

■  Emergency cleaning duties in absence of cleaning operatives and remove or cover up graffiti from surfaces.

■  Undertake recycling and shredding duties as necessary.

Caretakers may have a pivotal liaison and or monitoring role and the Contractor is to demonstrate how the relationship with other members in the team will be developed with the Service Delivery Plan.
