1.2.14  Staircases, ramps and handrails

Where staircases are constructed in either in-situ or precast concrete, with screeds to treads, risers and landings, finishes are to be provided. All handrails, guard-rails, etc, are to be rigid in use with no movement, noise or drumming. Balustrades shall not impede upon the stair escape width.
