1.2.17 Internal Walls and Partitions
Masonry partitions shall be of dense concrete blockwork and shall not be less than 100mm thick. They are to continue to meet the underside of the floor above.
All walls shall be free from undue deflection, damp and staining.
All finishes shall be clean and without significant permanent marking, staining or oxidisation.
Walls shall provide prevention to surface spread of flame performance in accordance with the required specification.
Unless otherwise stated, where masonry walling is exposed at skirting level, 25x150mm (renewable source) hardwood skirtings are to be fitted, finished with semi matt varnish and incorporate a mastic seal at the skirting/wall junction.
Unless otherwise stated, masonry walling is to be finished with minimum 2 coats hard wall plaster brought to a level eggshell finish. Lightweight plaster will not be permitted.
