Floor finishes shall be designed to avoid changes in finished levels between adjoining areas.
Where carpeting is provided, it should continue below any proprietary partition in order to improve upon the future flexibility of accommodation. Lay in PVC skirtings are to be fitted to rooms with vinyl flooring, all abutments to be welded. Clay tiled skirtings are to be provided to the perimeter of clay tiled floors.
Concrete slabs exposed in the finished works shall have a smooth finish and surface dust inhibitor treatment.
Contrasting colours are to be used to differentiate between work areas and circulation areas, and also for DDA purposes.
