2.3.3 Internal Lighting

All luminaires shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Where luminaires are specified as having light output controllers conforming to the requirements of the CIBSE Lighting Guide 3, they shall be handled and fitted with the installer taking the necessary precautions to prevent staining of the reflective surfaces.

Design service luminance levels in lux will be indicated on the Room Data Sheets these are minimum requirements and the Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that the actual levels take into account the standard maintained luminance levels are in compliance with the CIBSE Code for Interior Lighting. The Electrical Contractor shall ensure that the lighting design levels achieve a uniformity of 0.8 and that the limiting glare indices are not exceeded.
