Variant Solutions

Evaluation of Variant Solutions will follow the same methodology as the evaluation of Standard Solutions.  However, in relation to any Variant Solutions, the following broad questions will be addressed in the evaluation:

•  Do the proposed changes represent a more appropriate allocation of risk?

•  Do the proposed changes impose additional costs on the Fire and Rescue Authority or Police Authority?

•  Do the proposed changes indicate a clear understanding of the nature of the services required by the Fire and Rescue Authority or Police Authority?

•  Do the proposed changes reflect an understanding of the way in which the service is likely to alter over the course of the Contract period?

•  Do the proposed changes undermine the ability of the Fire and Rescue Authority or Police Authority to achieve the performance standards set out in the Output Specification?
