5.1  Introduction

5.1.1  The design, construction and carrying out of the Works will be undertaken in accordance with all relevant health and safety Legislation.

5.1.2  The Contractor shall ensure that the Dwellings and/or Properties and all operations of the Dwellings and/or Properties are conducted with due regard to the health and safety and welfare of persons employed upon the [Initial Refurbishment] Works and visitors to and occupiers of the Properties and other persons who may thereby be affected and that in and about the performance of the Works the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 are complied with.

5.1.3  The Contractor shall take all reasonable safety and other measures to prevent damage or injury.
