1.  Introduction

1.1  The approach detailed within this Tenant Waiver Protocol will be used by the Contractor in respect of the Works comprising both the Initial Refurbishment Works and the Cyclical Maintenance and Renewal Works to manage instances where a Tenant wishes to waive elements of those Works at the relevant Dwelling.  It is intended to complement the Contractor's existing procedures, as well as satisfy the Authority that all reasonable efforts have been made to explain to the Tenant the implications of his/her decision not to have the relevant elements of the Works undertaken at his/her Dwelling.

1.2  This Protocol also details the actions required of the Contractor in the event that the Tenant decides that any particular waiver is to be rescinded.

1.3  All the procedures described below are intended to be implemented by the Contractor and relevant Contractor Related Parties in the execution of the Works.
