54.3  Action by Authority

54.3.1  Following service of such notice, the Authority shall take such action as notified under clause 54.2 (Notice to the Contractor) and any consequential additional action as it reasonably believes is necessary (together, the Required Action) and the Contractor shall give all reasonable assistance to the Authority while it is taking the Required Action. The Authority shall provide the Contractor with notice of completion of the Required Action and shall use reasonable endeavours to provide such advance notice as it reasonably practicable of its anticipated completion.

54.3.2  Where the Required Action has been taken otherwise than as a result of a breach by the Contractor, the Authority shall undertake the Required Action in accordance with Good Industry Practice [and shall indemnify the Contractor against all Direct Losses where it fails to do so.]269
