Method Statement 5 - Lighting Performance and Planned Maintenance (Contractual)

Bidders must submit a Method Statement for the monitoring or scouting of each item of the Apparatus in the Local Authority to identify any lighting units that are not working as planned or achieving required light outputs.  The Method Statement should cover all categories of street lighting included in the Output Specification and, as a minimum, should include the following:

The approach to be used for monitoring and measuring all lighting points for the purposes of monitoring PS2 performance target A

The methodology to be used for randomly selecting on a monthly basis the [100] street lighting points (all other forms of street lighting are excluded) for the purposes of monitoring photometric lighting output (PS2 performance target B).  The testing programme should commence from [insert details] and should exclude [insert details].

The regime in place to ensure adherence to minimum prescribed maintenance frequencies in PS2

The methodology showing how the results of such monitoring or scouting will be fed into the Bidder's management information system in a convenient form, and how that information will be used in calculating any Adjustments to the Unitary Charge under the Payment Mechanism.
