25.1  Contracting Out of Functions

Subject to the provisions of this clause 25 and to clause 28.1 (Responsibility for the Service), the Service Provider is hereby authorised by the Authority as Local Highway Authority, Highway Authority, Street Authority, Bridge Authority, Responsible Authority, Transport Authority and Traffic Authority (each as defined in the Highways Act and/or NRSWA) from the Service Commencement Date until the Expiry Date or, if earlier, the Termination Date to exercise, for the purposes of the provision of the Service on the Project Network each of the functions of the Authority listed in Part 1 of Schedule 10 (Authorised Highway Functions and Services in Relation to the Authority's Functions).  The Service Provider and the Authority shall take such actions as are necessary for the efficient transfer of any such function to the Service Provider.
