25.8  Further Orders

In the event that any further order under Section 73 of the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994 provides for the exercise of further functions of a Local Highway Authority, Street Authority, Traffic Authority or Bridge Authority additional to those listed in Schedule 10 (Authorised Highway Functions and Services) then:

(a)  the Authority may give written notice authorising the Service Provider to exercise any, or all, such further functions for the remainder of the Contract Period (but not prior to the Service Commencement Date) for the purposes of the provision of the Service on the Project Network; and

(b)  the Service Provider and the Authority shall take such actions as are necessary for the efficient transfer of any such further functions to the Service Provider,

and the provisions of this clause 25 shall apply as if such further functions were Authorised Functions listed in Part 1 of Schedule 10 (Authorised Highway Functions and Services).
