35.3  Standards of HWA Works

35.3  Where the Authority undertakes or procures any works and/or management in its capacity as Highway Works Authority it shall comply with the following standards when undertaking such works and/or management:

(a)  to the extent that an applicable standard is contained in the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, such standard; or

(b)  where such works are Street Cleansing, the standards contained in the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (to the extent any such standards are relevant to the activity in question); and

(c)  to the extent that the works to be undertaken by the Authority are not of a type to which the standards described in either of clauses 35.3(a) and 35.3(b) apply, Good Industry Practice.
